VDR is a recording system designed to collect data from various sensors onboard the vessel. The World`s first VDR meeting the requirements set forth in the IMO resolution A.861(20) Performance Standards for Shipborne VDRs.

The VDR2200 is a Voyage Data Recorder in charge of recording navigation and status data on the bridge, including voice and radio communication and radar pictures.It continuously stores data from the last 12 hours in the final recording media HVR (Hardened Voyage Recorder), a protective capsule or a free float unit. VDR2200 enables accident investigators to review procedures and instructions in the moments before an incident and helps to identify the causes of any accident.World`s first VDR/S-VDR with integrated type approved ECDIS, offering increased recording capability including complete ECDIS logbook, with replay to DVD compatible with any Microsoft based PC.
Features
- CTL4000 – Main computer. Receive data from different interfaces and transmit the data to HVR
- SIS4000 – Interface system, connects to external devices.
- RAD2000 – Radar picture capturing system.
- AUD4000 – Audio system. Connected to microphones, placed on the bridge.
- ACP2000 – Combined Control and Alarm panel. Placed on the bridge with buzzer. Indicates system faults.
- LAN4000 – Connection to the network.
- HVR2000 – Hardened Voyage Recorder.
- POW4000 – Power supply and battery. UPS & AC/DC converters.
The Combined Control and Alarm Panel is placed on the bridge. The panel displays the system status, current alarms and their status. From this panel, the user can:
- Acknowledge the alarms, using the reset button.
- Operate with system
The VDR is fully automatic and starts automatically when the power is switched on. For a complete description see VDR2200 Technical Manual. The combined Alarm / Control Panel device has two main functions:
- Monitoring the system status.
- Provide system operations.
The graphical touch screen device is used for both purposes. It displays information in kind of Information Pages and the Main Page gives access to controls for all VDR operations.
